Community Grant SchemeThe 2009 Community Grant Scheme is now open. This Grants Scheme was started nine years ago under the Moray Firth LIFE Project. It is designed to help in a very practical way to take forward integrated coastal zone management at the local, community level and to encourage involvement by all sectors of the community.
![]() Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) has supported this Scheme from the start, with additional funding over the years from Aberdeenshire Council, BG Group and The Crown Estate which allowed us to extend the Scheme. We are delighted that SNH has awarded a further £10,000 to help fund the 2009 scheme. The MFP Community Grant scheme is aimed at local, not for profit groups such as community associations, youth groups, heritage and interest groups. Projects must relate to the management, interpretation, enjoyment or improvement of the Moray Firth and its natural environment, be of clear benefit to the local area and contribute to the local quality of life. These projects are due for completion by the end of January 2009. We will show you some of the results after the final reports have been submitted. Watch this space!
